Hogwarts Professors’ Meeting

   All Hogwarts professors, past and future, are invited to a planning meeting for the new semester, Thursday, January 6, 7 pm, in the Great Hall of Hogwarts (basement of Coffee House). 

   Classes have been offered thus far in Herbology (growing plants), Potions (environmentally friendly cleaning supplies), Arithmancy (math puzzles and games), Charms (magic charms, stones), Transfiguration (art projects), Divination (dream interpretation) and a number of other subjects.

   All members are welcome to contribute a lesson .  Professor Toadbutt (a.k.a. Doreen Valadez) is now acting Headmistress of Hogwarts School of U.U. Magic. 

   The meeting will allow us to assess our progress thus far, share what works and what doesn’t, brainstorm subjects, and schedule classes for the rest of the semester.

Jan 30 - Art Sunday (No Hogwarts)

 

Weight Loss Support Group

The weight loss support group, which consists of whoever shows up, will meet on Monday, January 10, at 6:00 pm, for a healthy potluck meal.  Bring a dish to share to the Coffee House basement.

 

Building Your Own Theology”

An adult religious exploration class will begin on Thursday, January 27 at 7:00 pm.  “Building Your Own Theology” is a classic model for exploring your personal theology.  Ten sessions will assist participants in developing and articulating their own religious values.  It is helpful, but not required, to have your own copy of the text.  Books are available from the UUA Bookstore at www.uua.org/bookstore, $16.00.

 

Board meeting
